I recently attended an AI Summit at the campus of Cox Enterprises in Atlanta.

My overall reflections:
↳ Stay curious. Build your AI literacy.
↳ Embrace AI as a creative partner.
↳ Use AI to solve real problems at scale.
↳ Embrace the move to Agentic AI.
↳ Lean on your human-centered skills.

I left the summit energized to keep learning, building, and leading.

It was inspiring to see Cox leaders not only champion AI, but also talk about how they’re keeping up with it, too.

To elevate my partnership with AI, I also craft prompts that go beyond instructions and output.

The real magic? When AI asks me thoughtful questions about:

↳ and assumptions.

That’s when it shifts from tool to strategic partner.
Prompting is powerful. Partnering is transformational.

I use AI every day.
But one day, it got me completely wrong.

It showed me as a white man with a guitar.
I’m a Black woman. We talk every day.
That’s not just inaccurate — it’s bias.

So I asked it:
“Where did you get that from?”

Its answer? “Based on internet patterns.”
That moment changed everything.

We need diverse voices in AI.
Not just using it — but shaping it.
Because if we don’t show up,
the systems being trained won’t know us.

Assist or Generate?
Not all AI is built the same — and that matters.

Some tools help you decide.
Others help you create.
Knowing the difference is key to using AI more effectively.

Assisted AI helps you get answers and make choices (think: Siri, Netflix, or Google Maps).
Generative AI creates content from your prompts (like ChatGPT, DALL·E, or Canva Magic Write).

So, how are you using AI — to assist or generate?
