Written by Shannon Gillespie

“This is how the whole summer works. Except it stretches to more than the summer. It starts sometime in the spring, and ends sometime in the fall — if I’m lucky. So I’m just going to say it: summer is the worst!”

‘Art for Austism’ Written by Amanda Glover

“Those with Autism pay much attention to detail. For instance, my brother has always been impressed with cars. He’s taken many phoos of different cars and researches how certain parts work; when we go over relative’s homes, it’s not uncommon that he asks to look inside their cars.”

‘Break-feasting Like Never Before’ 🥞🥓🍳

‘Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,’ while an adage rarely followed, it is a sentiment that most have heard. Even with 54% of Americans skipping out on breakfast at least once a week, there is a keen importance placed alongside the idea of breakfast.

Our One Look Series continues with “Looking through a glass of perfume”
Written by Tia Charmaine

The new dress is digitally printed on Swarovski mesh. In contrast to other digital prints on Swarovski crystals in the exhibition, this garment is painted over top of the mesh for preservation.

The One Look Series is a four-part series that highlights writing pieces from the Fashion Journalism course. Students were asked to write a piece based off of one selected look from SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film‘s current exhibition, “Kaleidoscope Katrantzou: Mary Katrantzou, 10 Years in Fashion.”

ACE MILLER and RENAISSANCE 2030 SIMMERING SOUL, READY TO SERVE Macon, Georgia's own Ace Miller and Renaissance 2030 brings a new kind of soul to the menu with their new album release entitled, Crazy For You! Some say that a fine wine only gets better with time and that the mark of true Art is that it only increases in value with time. From Macon, Georgia, where many great Soul and R&B Legends were made, we present to you professional sounds of Ace Miller and Renaissance 2030. Sit back and listen to enjoy the beauty of their sound. Ace Miller and Renaissance 2030 were all Macon born and Macon raised. They are all rooted in Gospel, yet paint portraits of different genres. They united to carry on Macon's legendary music tradition. Using sound, as an Artist uses colors or as a novelist uses words, are what Ace Miller and Renaissance 2030 use to create different genres of music. They are Ampersand Guild members and recognized musical Artists. The members are Leroy Ace Miller, Vocals, Keys; Eric Meredith, Keys/Sync; Dr. Joseph A., Bass, Vocals and Pete Miller, Jr., Percussions., Alto Sax, Flute. The Artists individually or collectively have performed or recorded with such names as Midnight Star, Ronnie Laws, Keith Sweat, Chuck Levell and Don Cherry. Also heard on the album are Bill Massey and Quint Lot, on the song First Time, as well as, Simon Cullens and Marcus Johnson, on the songs Don't Ever, If You Feel Like Dancing and I Just Want To Know Your Name. Ace has experienced a hit in the re-issue of his R&B/Pop single (“Teacher”), which made #1 on United Kindom Charts in March of 2017. The current hit release by Ace Miller and Renaissance 2030 is I Want To Be Crazy For You https://youtu.be/RM07TQXb6qA. The songs on the Album are as follows: 1. If you feel like dancing (A. Miller) BMI 2. I want to be crazy (A. Miller) BMI 3. The Ocean (P. Miller, E. Meredith, J. Singleton and A. Miller) BMI 4. Don't ever (E. Meredith, J. Singleton, P. Miller, M. Johnson, S. Cullens and A. Miller) BMI 5. I just want to know your name (E. Meredith, J. Singleton, P. Miller, M. Johnson, S. Cullens and A. Miller) BMI 6. The first time (P. Miller, E. Meredith, J. Singleton and A. Miller, Quint Lott, Bill Massey) BMI 7. Squeeze you (P. Miller, E. Meredith, J. Singleton and A. Miller) BMI 8. Squeeze you (instrumental) (P. Miller, E. Meredith, J. Singleton and A. Miller) BMI For booking, contact Leroy Ace Miller: [email protected] or (478) 978-7526.
