A Broadcast Legend
Since CAU-TV’s inception in 1984, it has provided quality educational and informative programming to the Atlanta community. In 1991 CAUTV students were selected to work production elements at the Georgia Dome in hosting Super Bowl XXVIII. From 1993-1996, CAU-TV served as the Production Training Hub through which more than 2000 students were trained for employment as broadcasters for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. In 2013, CAU-TV began streaming on www.cautvonline.com
The station also operates a broadcast production training facility where students hone their production skills for transition into successful broadcasting careers across the US and around the world. Other cultural resources available to CAU-TV include Clark Atlanta University’s Robert Woodruff Library, sister station 91.9 WCLK-FM, CNN Center, Hammonds House, Wren’s Nest, the Herndon Home, Georgia Aquarium, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, the City’s Bureau of Cultural Affairs and the vast culturally diverse communities in the City of Atlanta.
