Ejay The Dj, has always had a passion for the music industry. With a keen understanding for the business and development aspects, he has made it his mission to expand his core competencies to succeed. He began his professional career as an intern at Roc-a-Fella Records as a member of the
promotional and marketing team called, “The StreetTeam.” This was a rewarding posi-
tion as it propelled his le
vel of knowledge in the communications and events sector of the
music industry. After completing this internship, he moved on to the department of artist
relations and marketing at Vibe Magazine. There his role included being an event assistant
during Vibe Magazine Second Annual Awards, the Quincy Jones Achievement Awards and
several artist showcases hosted by Vibe Magazine. He used this position to expand his
networking and social marketing capabilities extensively. Moreover, he established
relationships with clients and representatives throughout the industry. That was not just it for EjayTheDJ, he then moved on to the Artist & Repertoire department at Warner Music Group where he enhanced his ability to identify key opportunities of talent and artists. In addition, he learned to creatively collaborate with other producers, audio specialists and business constituents. Ejay, is a driven and highly motivated individual, one who is not complacent. He pursues all valuable opportunities in order to expand his knowledge and insight in the music and entertainment industry. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he has been thriving as a freelance disc jockey and radio host at local and regional stations. Since the launch of WireRadio247, his online radio show, he has experienced tremendous success and exposure in the entertainment and music scene. His personal brand and skills has been recognized by many which has allowed him to continue working and succeeding in the freelance capacity. With a Bachelor of Arts in Media Communications focusing on radio, from SUNY Old Westbury, Ejay has expanded his academic proficiency in his field of specialization. Furthermore, he has the personality and charisma to excel in this industry. His client list, just to name a few, includes Rick Ross, Tone Trump, Jadakiss, Ron Browz, and Lil Flip. In addition to radio broadcasting, he is continuing to hone his skills as a mixer of underground music and uncovering the next top talent. His work has been featured on www.datpiff.com and many other sites. Ejay is dedicated to mastering his disc jockey skills while building his personal image. Ejay the DJ is an open format DJ and emcee for corporate and private events, clubs, sports events, and charity events. He started Wire Radio247 Media group and is a Radio Personality on FUBU radio station Sunday’s 12am-2am and replays Tuesday 9pm to 11pm and is the feature DTF radio every Sunday from 2pm-4pm on Sunday. Ejay the DJ received “Rookie DJ of the Year” award in 2016 at the Atlanta “Salute the DJ Award Show”. He has interviewed hip hop legends such as: Rick Ross,, Tone Trump, Jadakiss, Ron Browz, Lil Flip, and others. Vodkila a liquor company that pioneered a Vodka infused tequila took notice of this up and coming DJ and decided to sponsor him. Ejay is a brand ambassador for Vodkila liquor company and a proud connoisseur of the delicious infusion.
Ejay the DJ started his career in high school working for the Def Jam/Roc-a-Fella Records Street Team as becoming an expert in music promotion and guerilla marketing techniques and then interned for Warner Brother Music Group. His passion for music was a driving force and he secured a job in the Artist Relations and Marketing department of Vibe Magazine. His role at Vibe included being an event assistant during Vibe Magazine’s Annual Awards, The Quincy Jones Achievement Awards and artist showcases hosted by the magazine. This role gave his event planning and promotion experience. He also became interested in charity and giving back to his community.
In addition to his success in his radio career, Ejay the DJ began consistent booking as an open format and hip-hop DJ and emcee gigs New York City hot spots in Manhattan such as Cove Lounge, Gravity, illusions Ho**ah, Suite 116 and the Ruff Ryders club house. Ejay the DJ also was a popular choice for corporate and charity events. He DJ and Emceed at the Bronx Museum of Arts, Fordham University, Music Hall of Williamsburg and the Kips Bay Throggs Neck Boys and Girls Club for a community event. The crowd loves his mixes and it’s no secret that the crowd feels involved with Ejay on the mic. He was the official DJ of t notable charity events including the Breast Cancer walk in Central park and the annual AIDS walk in central park.
