Voted as one of USA Today’s 10 Best Science Museums, the Tellus Science Museum is a 120,000-square-foot Smithsonian Affiliate museum comprised of four main galleries dedicated to minerals, fossils, science in motion and backyard science.

On Oct. 10, Tellus unveils a 10,000-square-foot expansion with two new exhibit spaces: a permanent gallery tracing the evolution of technology and smartphones, and a flexible wing designed for large-scale traveling exhibitions.

The first traveling exhibit, 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚, created in partnership with NASA's Johnson Space Center, immerses visitors in the extraordinary conditions of human spaceflight. With large-scale interactive components, multimedia, and hands-on experiences, the exhibit explores life aboard the International Space Station and the challenges and rewards of venturing beyond Earth.

Named after the ghostly lights said to hover over Louisiana swamps, Fifolet is uniquely Baton Rouge - equal parts spooky and soulful.

From Oct. 16-19, costume balls and haunted pub crawls share the spotlight with a parade, arts market, gumbo cookoff and trick-or-treating, all within a walkable downtown atmosphere.

Located just 45 minutes south of Atlanta, Coweta County is made up of the charming towns of Senoia and Newnan, whose picturesque main streets are the perfect setting for festive holiday celebrations. Taking place November 21 in Newnan, the Holiday Sip & See transforms downtown into a festive night market with live music and food trucks, along with hors d’oevres and refreshments from local retailers – the perfect opportunity for visitors to get started on their holiday shopping.

Then on November 28 , Santa on the Square will take place in the Courthouse Square, with Santa rolling into town on a firetruck to light the town’s Christmas tree. In Senoia, Candlelight Tour of Homes on December 14 welcomes visitors to step into the holiday spirit with an evening of exploring beautifully decorated historic homes with festive lights, twinkling candles, and stunning holiday decorations.

Located a short distance from the center of Tottori City on the Sea of Japan coast, the massive Tottori Sand Dunes attract more than 1.3 million visitors every year. The dunes are an impressive site, and a good starting point for exploring.

The Tottori Sand Dunes have existed for over 100,000 years. The Sendai River carries sediment from the nearby Chugoku Mountains that eventually washes out into the Sea of Japan. Take a leisurely ride on one of the dunes' iconic camels, or board the chairlift to the Sakyu Center's observation deck for the best view of the coast.

Children's Museum of Atlanta will debut “𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙨: 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙. 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠. 𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙔!”, a nationally touring exhibit opening on Sept. 20.
Based on the best-selling series of books by author Andrea Beaty and illustrator David Roberts, this attraction invites kids and families into the imaginative world of the Questioneers, featuring the characters Ada Twist, Scientist; Rosie Revere, Engineer; Iggy Peck, Architect; Sofia Valdez, Future Prez and Aaron Slater, Illustrator. Presented in both English and Spanish, the experience is accessible to a wide audience. Guests will have the chance to celebrate bravery, creativity, curiosity, diversity and resilience when visiting the exhibit through Jan. 4, 2026.
