✨ In Memory of Catherine O’Hara (1954-2026) ✨
Today the world mourns the loss of a true comedy legend and beloved screen icon. Catherine O’Hara, whose brilliant career spanned more than five decades, passed away at the age of 71.
From her early days in sketch comedy to becoming one of the most unforgettable characters in film and television, Catherine brought joy, warmth, and unmistakable creativity to everything she touched. Her talent was nothing short of extraordinary — capable of uproarious laughter one moment and tender emotion the next.
She made us laugh as the delightfully eccentric Moira Rose on Schitt’s Creek, a performance that earned her Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Awards. She touched our holiday traditions as Kevin McCallister’s wise-cracking mom in Home Alone. And from Beetlejuice to Christopher Guest’s mockumentaries, her versatility and nuance made every character unforgettable.
Catherine wasn’t just a performer — she was a storyteller, a fearless artist, and an inspiration to generations of actors and fans around the world. Her legacy will live on in the laughter she gave us and the characters she brought so vividly to life.
Thank you, Catherine. We’ll never forget you. ❤️
