If your kitchen closes early, maybe let people know before they drive there…

I drove 45 minutes because I was craving these jalapeño poppers that this gas station always has.

Get there…

Kitchen’s closed. Not because it was the normal closing time. Not because they sold out.

They just decided to shut it down hours earlier than they usually do.

So I wasted over an hour and a half of driving for absolutely nothing.

If you’re going to close your kitchen early, at least put a sign on the door, update your hours, or let customers know before they waste their time driving there.

People plan their trips around businesses actually being open.

I didn’t drive 45 minutes just to be told, “Sorry, the kitchen’s closed.”

That’s ridiculous.

I drove by this house today and couldn't help but notice the travel trailer taking up almost the entire driveway.

It looks like it's being supported with leveling blocks, which made me wonder if this is a common setup for RV owners or just temporary while it's parked.

I don't own a camper, so I'm genuinely curious. Is this considered a normal way to park and level a travel trailer at home, especially on a sloped driveway?

If you lived next door, would something like this bother you, or would you see it as just another part of RV ownership?

I'd love to hear from people who own campers or have experience with them. 👇🏡🚐

Morning Karen here folks To the parents of the children who covered our street in Wick in chalk drawings in broad daylight, I have photos of them, and the right people have been made aware.
The children have essentially turned the entire street into a drawing board. It seems they think it's just acceptable behavior. People live here. Families walk on this street.
Cars drive by it every day. Everyone in this neighborhoud tries to keep things presentable. So watching the pavement be treated like a giant piece of paper is truly frustrating.
I don't know where the parents were when this happened.
This really needs to be addressed by the people responsible for these children. If your children are doing this, you are the ones who should be out here cleaning it up properly and having a serious conversation about why this is not okay.
I'm not sure where the oversight is, but something like this shouldn't just be allowed to happen. Clean it up before it becomes a bigger problem for the entire street.
If you want to see the rest of the street go to Google maps and search post code ID1 0T

When I first saw this image, I wasn’t sure whether the sign was genuine, staged, or created to illustrate a point.

Either way, it highlights why tipping has become such a complicated topic.

Imagine entering a restaurant before being seated, meeting your server, or opening the menu—and immediately seeing a notice explaining how much you’re expected to leave.

I understand that restaurant work can be demanding and that many employees rely on gratuities as part of their income. At the same time, I’ve always viewed a tip as a personal way to recognize the service received.

When the amount is presented before the meal begins, it can feel less like appreciation and more like an added charge. For me, the best approach is one that supports employees while allowing customers to make an informed choice without pressure. — feeling blessed at USA.

To the parents of the children who drew markings on our street during the day, I have recorded evidence and reported the incident to the relevant authorities. The children's actions, using the pavement as a drawing board, are frustrating given the community's efforts to maintain a clean environment. With families and pedestrians around, it is disheartening to see such behavior. The absence of supervision is concerning. I urge parents to take immediate action to rectify this behavior and ensure their children understand the implications. If the children were involved, they should clean up the mess and receive guidance on acceptable behavior. Overlooking this incident may lead to a misconception among children about what is acceptable.

I’m honestly still shocked by how expensive groceries have gotten. 😭

I was at Walmart today just trying to grab a few things for my family, and I saw a cart absolutely overflowing with food. Pizza boxes, drinks, snacks, family-size items, name-brand stuff — stacked so high it looked like a full pantry restock in one trip.

And all I could think was, how are regular families supposed to keep up with prices like this? I’m over here comparing labels, skipping certain items, checking sales, and trying to make every dollar stretch, while one cart looks like it could easily be hundreds of dollars.

I’m not going to assume anyone’s situation, because you never really know what someone is shopping for or who they’re feeding. But seeing a grocery haul that big definitely makes you stop and think about how impossible everything feels right now.

Food prices are out of control, and working families are feeling it hard. Whether you’re buying a few basics or a full cart, it seems like every trip to the store costs more than the last one.

Maybe I’m just frustrated, but grocery shopping should not feel like a financial crisis every single week.

A sign like this is practically designed to start an instant argument, because it immediately splits the room into two passionate camps. One group looks at it and says, "That’s absolutely true." The other group looks at it and asks, "Then why am I the one being handed the bill for your payroll?"

This is exactly why conversations about tipping culture always explode. No one is arguing about whether service workers deserve respect and a living wage—everyone agrees they do. The real friction starts the second customers feel like the financial responsibility of fixing a broken system is being pushed onto their receipts. Signs like this don't bridge the gap; they just throw gasoline on an already raging debate.

This honestly made my stomach drop.

I was behind a car today with the trunk wide open and a whole lawnmower hanging halfway out the back. Just bouncing around in traffic like that’s somehow safe. All I could think was: if they hit one bump or slam on the brakes, that thing could come loose and someone behind them could get seriously hurt.

I don’t care how short the drive is. I don’t care if they “strapped it down.” Heavy equipment does not belong hanging out of a sedan trunk on a busy road.

And yes, I called the cops because I’m not waiting around to watch a lawnmower become a projectile.

There are safe ways to move stuff like this. Borrow a truck. Rent a trailer. Ask someone for help. Pay for delivery. Anything is better than putting strangers at risk because you decided to wing it.

Am I overreacting, or would this make you nervous too?
