A Nation You Can Carry

Haiti reached the 2026 World Cup without playing a single home game. Not one. No team in tournament history has ever done that.

When they finally got their moment on the world stage, FIFA made them strip an illustration of the Battle of Vertières - the 222-year-old victory that made Haiti the first free Black republic - off their kit for being "too political."

Outside of Cape Verde, it would be hard to find a more beloved team in this tournament... But who gets your vote?
