As it was not in the cards for me to be DOCCS Commissioner. Please know that I am forever grateful for your unwavering support and encouragement. Many of you have been a shining light throughout my career, and I will never forget the impact you have made. Please know that this experience, like many, gives me the energy to continue the work needed to change the policies and practices that impact all people impacted by the carceral system. Today is my husband's 4th Heavenly Birthday. Words can not express how much he is missed. I feel his presence every day, especially if I am not having a good day. When those days occur, I hear him say "Boo get your A..... together, you have S...to do, rocks to turn over, and a mission to complete. " It's at that moment I say to myself Girl get your mind right and get back on track.

Today I start a 6 week NYPD Citizens Police Academy in person at the NYPD Police Academy at College Point, New York.
