Ten years ago today, an iconic Philadelphia/South Jersey radio station changed its format (and callsign) to sports talk radio.

Here are the last 35 minutes of broadcast by WYSP-FM and the first 5 minutes of broadcast by WIP-FM, with music selections truncated. Recorded live off-air Friday, September 2, 2011. The WYSP broadcast ended at 15:00 local time.

This event also prompted the creation of South Jersey Broadcast Archives, originally started as channel “PFTech” 10 years ago as well.

Preceding the test, we see some promos and the station ID. Two individual tests are relayed; one originating from station WHYY-FM, and the other from WFPA-CD. The alert crawler is in Spanish, but the audible message is in English.
