2025 Atlantic City Airshow.

Reports & pics suggest attendance substantially down from previous years.

Did lack of Blue Angels, Golden Knights and Thunderbirds affect attendance? YES.

July 16, 2025. Photos taken between 12 noon and 1:30p.

Note: Airshow not visible on Ventnor Boardwalk or Ventnor Pier... like previous years.

AC Boardwalk stores reported slow/no business to our reporters.
Compare 2025 to 2019 attendance:

According to AC Business Chamber, 500,000 spectators enjoyed 2019 airshow.

What about this year?

Other interesting notes:

Many empty retail outlets along the boardwalk. Approx 20% of Boardwalk retail shops were up for rent or lease.

Common Atlantic City Boardwalk retail businesses:

> T-shirts and souvenirs
> Cannabis-related products
> Fortune telling
> Pizza
> Beer and daiquiris
> Massage parlor

Condition of wooden Boardwalk was worse than expected. Hazards everywhere. Loose boards. Sharp, broken wood slats. Nails and bolts popping out. Bike riders beware of getting flat tires.

NOTE: Didn't see or smell any ma*****na. Likely due to strong police presence.

The usually busy 'Biergarten' only 25% full as of 12:30p

Not many offshore boats watching show like past years.

Anecdotal: many thought airshow left AC and went to Wildwood.

Most radio announcers verbally stumbled over clunky named: 'Soar and Shore'

Local media spinning attendance numbers.

Privately, vendors, visitors and businesses are either disappointed or angry.

AC Expressway toll counts should provide additional clarity on visitor numbers.

Advertising and promotion of event left much to be desired. Local radio and newspapers no longer effective means of marketing airshow.

Just watched the excellent movie DARK WATERS -- the story of how DUPONT hid dangers of how they polluted local water. Dupont covered it up, too. For years. Even as many got very sick and died.

This movie reminded me of the dysfunctional ACMUA., better known as the Atlantic City water company.

Oddly, unqualified socialite Gary Hill is the chairman of the ACMUA.
