Wives out here doing the MOST always 💪

A woman from Utah has gone viral after sharing how she prepared her husband for a dermatologist appointment by circling every mole she was concerned about, only for the doctor to respond in kind.

Brinlee Miles said she and her husband, Ryan Miles, had been keeping an eye on a few spots given his family's history of skin cancer, so she marked the moles she wanted the dermatologist to check, particularly ones on his back that he couldn't see himself.

When Ryan returned home, his torso was covered in the doctor's own notes beside each circle, marking several moles "good" while flagging two for biopsy.

The results confirmed the concern was warranted: one mole on his chest was found to contain early-stage cancer cells and needed to be removed, while the other was monitored for changes.

"When I turned to leave, he seemed ok. A little apprehensive, but no tears. I later texted one of the moms who had lingered to see how my son did after I’d gone and she said that he was finally calming down by the time she left. UGGGGGHHH…"

When my son had a hard time without me at school, I knew I had to get creative to help him overcome his separation anxiety so he could thrive!

My social media game was strong. Too strong.

It was becoming a constant distraction. Without even thinking about it, I'd pull up the apps on my phone and mindlessly scroll.

Things I didn't even care about became my focus. Conversations and events that had absolutely no bearing on my life would pull me in. The next thing I knew, I would be thirty minutes deep into the social app abyss.

Sometimes social is a much needed distraction. Especially during the long days of summer where I play the continual and constant role of bus driver, cruise director and short order cook for my children.

I'll be honest: I'm not a good summer mom. By July, when the hottest season of the year is just getting into its full swing, I'm longing for structure and a return to the regular routines of the school year.

Social media allowed me to escape for a few minutes...which unfortunately was turning into more like a few hours each day.

I finally made the decision to delete social media from my phone.

Unfortunately, it wasn't as easy as a simple "uninstall".

I'd find myself absently reaching for my phone to scroll. Without thinking, I'd go to post a picture. I definitely felt the absence. But as they days went on, it became more of a relief than a loss.

I wasn't being present for my kids. I wasn't even being present for myself. I was living in a fake reality, and - if I'm being completely honest- what was meant to be a happy escape, was making me pretty unhappy.

I still have social access. If I need it for work or group information, I can get to it. But I'm no longer making social media a priority in my life.

And, for me, that makes my overall game stronger.
