When many people think of a Christmas classic, it’s safe to say that “Elf” is one of the first movies to come to mind. The 2003 film stars Will Ferrell as Buddy Hobbs, a human who was raised by Santa’s elves in the North Pole, and follows his odyssey to New York City to discover who he truly is. “Elf” explores themes of family, romance and acceptance, while aiming to warm the hearts of its viewers during the holiday season.

On Dec. 2, Georgia-Pacific, a large manufacturing company that specializes in making products ranging from paper to building products, donated $10,000 to the Auburn chapter of Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI). Art is effort. Art is passion. Art is human. Artificial intelligence is none of these things. The only person that allows you to be an artist is yourself and your own striving towards creative creations. A homogenous pool of bland and uninspired pixels of artificiality can’t express humanity or love – and never will. So, I really hope we can turn around from artificial intelligence "art" before it's too late.

The University of Alabama recently suspended two university-funded student magazines. This action was taken due to a memo issued by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi in July 2025. The two magazines, Nineteen Fifty-Six and [alice] were censored due to Bondi’s statements on “proxy organizations” that focus on specific groups on The University of Alabama’s campus.

Starting Jan. 7, 2026, Haley Concourse will be a wheels-free zone, according to Student Government Association President Owen Beaverstock. The policy will be in effect from 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. from Monday to Friday. According to Beaverstock, the new policy will be a pilot project that can change, revoke or even expand across campus depending on effectiveness and student reaction.
