The Placer Hillmen came up short in their season opening game last night.

On Friday, August 22, 2025, Placer High School’s varsity football team faced Casa Roble in Orangevale and were defeated with a final score of Placer 30, Casa Roble 46.

Dear Placer Hillmen football fans,

With great sorrow, we announce that after many amazing years, KAHI radio will not be airing our Friday night Hillmen play-by-play this season. We are so grateful that family and friends turned to us for all the action.

It was a heartbreaking decision, but we could not round up the necessary staff and just didn't get the sponsors necessary this year. Plus we have new contractual obligations to the SF Giants on most Friday nights.

The KAHI family wishes the Hillmen an amazing season! Go get 'em, team!
