🚧 Heads Up, Auburn! Major Road Construction Begins 12/1/25, TOMORROW 🚧

Starting December 1, 2025, Caltrans will begin 24/7 construction at the intersection of Highway 49 and El Dorado St. (also known as Lincoln Way and Borland Ave.). The project will require a full road closure for approximately three weeks, with the road currently expected to reopen on December 22, 2025.

Here’s what to expect:
🔸 Increased Traffic Congestion
Detours will be in place, so please plan for delays and give yourself extra travel time.
🔸 High St. Closure
Closed just east of Lincoln Way (heading into the canyon from Auburn).
➡️ Detour: Lincoln Way to Elm Ave.
🔸 Borland Ave. Closure
Closed just south of the Hwy 49/Borland intersection.
➡️ Note: Access to Borland Ave. businesses will remain open.
🔸 Lincoln Way Closure
Closed just south of Aeolia Dr.
🔸 Highway 49 Closure (Canyon Side)
Closed east of the Hwy 49/El Dorado intersection (coming up out of the canyon).
➡️ Additional signage at the confluence will detour traffic up Old Foresthill Rd.
