Liam's Truck Parade (clip)
Mark your calendars for the 6α΅Κ° Annual Summer Block Party on Saturday, October 3 to benefit Make-A-Wish Maine. This year, the event will be a hybrid of in-person and virtual. A limited number of tickets are on sale now and will be required for entry. Also this year, Praxis Motion Pictures continues its partnership with us and will be premiering their film about Liam (4 yrs) from Sabattus who loves everything and anything truck related. Liam, who has acute lymphoblastic leukemia, wished to have a "Tonka" themed playset in his backyard. Not only did Make-A-Wish grant his wish, but they also organized his very own custom parade full of trucks and vehicles of all shapes and sizes. With our Publisher's own decked out Chevy, we were honored to participate in the parade and be a part of a very special day. I'm really proud of our team (Jimbo, Tim, Steve, Steph, & Tyla) for stepping up to deliver the Digests this month. It was a good exercise and gave us the ability to connect (safely) with businesses that are still open, its owners, and friends working at those businesses.
We are working with several awesome local restaurants, etc. that are taking the time to stuff a Digest in every take-out order! So folks, hows that for thinking outside the coronavirus box?
