Local filmmaker Rob Gore is no stranger to the bright lights of Hollywood, but he was star-struck last month as he was inducted into the “A Place Called Sacramento” film festival Hall of Fame! We, as a film office, acknowledge Rob for his additions to the film community here in Placer County and throughout the region.

This week, funding for the California Film Commission's Film and Television Tax Credit Program was doubled—from $330 million to $750 million! Governor Newsom introduced key updates to keep production, below-the-line jobs and investments rooted in California 👏👏👏

Governor Newsom is more than doubling the state’s Film and Television Tax Credit Program, and adding 16 new television projects that will generate $1.1 billion in new economic activity.
