FINAL UPDATE 9:20AM - Officers have cleared the residence in question. Simultaneously, a person of interest was taken into custody at another location. Officers will remain on scene at 9th Ave S for a while longer, as they wrap up. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this early morning interruption.

UPDATE - Officers are still on scene working to secure a residence in the 1600 block of 9th Ave S. Community members may hear loud bangs as members of the HRU deploy distraction devices and other commonly used SWAT tactics or techniques.

POLICE ACTIVITY! Community members will see a large police presence, including members of our High Risk Unit, in the 1600 block of 9th Ave S.

They are responding to an incident that started at approximately 1am, at a separate location.
