🌟 Turning Your Dreams Into Reality 🌟

πŸ’« Here are three key steps to transform your dreams into a vibrant reality:

#1 Set specific and measurable goals:
✨ Define your dreams with clarity and precision.
✨ Break them down into smaller, manageable milestones.
✨ Assign measurable metrics to track your progress.
✨ This will give you a clear roadmap to follow, keeping you focused and motivated along the way.

#2 Take consistent action towards your dream:
✨ Develop a routine that prioritizes your dream.
✨ Break down your goals into actionable steps and create a timeline.
✨ Dedicate time each day or week to work on them.
✨ Embrace the mindset of progress over perfection, taking small steps consistently.

#3 Believe in yourself and surround yourself with supportive people:
✨ Cultivate self-belief and confidence in your abilities.
✨ Surround yourself with individuals who inspire and uplift you.
✨ Seek out mentors or like-minded individuals who have achieved similar dreams.
✨ Share your aspirations with them; their encouragement and guidance will fuel your journey.

Remember, turning dreams into reality is a process. Embrace the journey, stay committed, and trust that with perseverance, dedication, and belief in yourself, your dreams can become your beautiful reality. βœ¨πŸ™ŒπŸΎβœ¨

Between my Pops Phillip Lyles (T1&2D) my brother Ramon Lyles (T1D) my cousin Harvey Sullivan (T2D) and the passing of my little sister Alex LadiiSmiilesz Lyles (T1D) Diabetes has ran rampid in my family. I can only imagine what this disease has done in the lives and families of others. I can't be the savior but I'm about to shake some Shxt up 🎯

Only Ls we take are LESSONS and I've learned so much as a diabetic caregiver that I absolutely Must get out to others in similar situations πŸ™πŸΎ I'd be doing an injustice not to. That in mind, I'm working on something and it will change the lives of those impacted as well as the caregivers! Quality of life starts with adequate knowledge, efficient tracking, and effective treatment!

Watch me work πŸ’ƒπŸΎ

As promised for Women's History Month we are honoring the women who have paved the path for us all ✊🏾

Today let's take a look at a phenomenal woman in history who absolutely made history during her time, Ms. Monemia McKoyπŸ₯°

Her story in brief:

Enslaved couple Monemia and Jacob McKoy lived in North Carolina in the mid-19th century. In 1851, Monemia β€” already the mother of 7 children β€” gave birth to conjoined twins Millie and Christine.

While all enslaved parents lived with a constant fear of being separated from their children at the auction block, that threat was more pronounced for the McKoys because Millie and Christine were considered β€œgenealogical wonders”. The girls each had their own limbs but were joined at the pelvis. Throughout their lives, they were sold, kidnapped, endured horrific and invasive medical exams, and forced to perform in sideshows.

Despite her circumstances, Monemia fought endlessly for her children. As toddlers, Millie and Christine were sold, stolen and sent to Europe to perform. β€œIn a staggering act of Black motherhood, Monemia travelled there, along with the girls’ owner and a detective,” wrote Drs. Berry and Gross in their book. β€œThe three bought tickets where the 6-year-old twins were scheduled to perform. When Monemia was reunited with her daughters in the front row, she fainted.”

Why her story should be told:

Monemia McKoy’s fierce efforts to protect her children foreshadows both historic and current examples of Black motherhood. The legacy of Black motherhood is strength, drawing a line from Monemia to the mothers of Emmett Till, Trayvon Martin and Breonna Taylor and other Black mothers who’ve been thrust into the spotlight.

January to December something's ALWAYS going on, I'm just tryna be the one to put the community on πŸŽ―πŸ’―

What's going on family 🌻 On this 1st day of Women's History Month, I want to share some of HerStory πŸ˜‰

Each day this month at 12 noon est., expect to be wow'd by the amazing women who have in some way shape or form inspired me! May it be a blessing to you on your journey πŸ™πŸΎ

Jill Heather Scott (born April 4, 1972) is an American singer, songwriter, model, poet and actress. Her 2000 debut album, Who Is Jill Scott?: Words and Sounds Vol. 1, went platinum and the follow-ups Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2 (2004) and The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3 (2007) both achieved gold status.

Scott began her performing career as a spoken word artist, appearing at live poetry readings to perform her work. She was eventually discovered by Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson of the Roots. Questlove invited her to join the band in the studio. The collaboration resulted in a co-writing credit for Scott on the song, "You Got Me". In 2000, Erykah Badu and the Roots won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for "You Got Me", and Scott debuted as an artist during a Roots live show, singing as original artist/singer of the song.

In 2003, Scott established the Blues Babe Foundation, a program founded to help young minority students pay for university expenses. The foundation offers financial assistance to students between the ages of 16 and 21 and focuses on students residing in Philadelphia, Camden, and the greater Delaware Valley. She donated US$100,000 to start the foundation. The foundation was named after Scott's grandmother who was known as "Blue Babe".

At the Essence Music Festival in July 2006, Scott spoke out about how women of color are portrayed in hip-hop songs and music videos. She criticized the content for being "dirty, inappropriate, inadequate, unhealthy, and polluted" urging the listening audience to "demand more" when selecting music✊🏾

She is WOMEN'S HISTORY ✨
And on this first day of National Women's History Month, I've gotta give it up for my girl Jilly from Philly Miss Jill Scott πŸ₯°
