Even though I never got the chance to meet Nancy Glaser, it almost feels like I know her after speaking with her staff, colleagues, and best friend of twenty years.
Despite not being from Augusta originally, Glaser spent twenty years preserving its history and making sure that everyone knew just how special of a place it was.
But her work as executive director of the Augusta Museum of History was only half of the story - the kind of person she was is what those closest to her will remember most.
I know she will be deeply missed and her legacy will live on, not just at the museum but across the CSRA.
Though Glaser was not originally from Augusta, she devoted 20 years to preserving and celebrating the city’s history.
