There are many great businesses/farm stands, around here. We do appreciate them. We do not compete with people that sell pork, beef, ducks, unwashed eggs (not legal in West Virginia unless npip certified ). Make sure you look them up to see if they actually have a West Virginia business license https://apps.sos.wv.gov/business/corporations/. Also if they’re selling chicken eggs/ hens, ask for their credentials. Especially if they are advertising on community posts. We have been selling Eggs, Chickens,Turkeys, Quail, for over 15 years. We have our business license, farmers market license, and egg distribution license. We have all our documents available at our farm stand. We have always been compliant. Just because someone says they have a farm … go on West Virginia business entity search, (you’re welcome to check out ours), From The Wind Farm, easy enough we are a farm. It is legit, incorporated, so thank you to the person that inspired this. 😉
