Supposedly in 1897 in Aurora, Texas, a mysterious airship landed in a field. Inside, residents found the body of a creature that was "not of this world," and they buried it in the Aurora cemetery. Over the decades since, the headstones for the creature have gone missing and been replaced, but no one really knows if there truly is an alien buried underneath. This play production by Bottle Alley Theatre Company, "AURORA", explores the curiosity of a young girl while on her birthday at a special outdoor location with a coworker before eventually having an encounter an odd stranger which presents the characters and audience alike with questioning the mystery of reality along with finding connection and meaning in life. Aurora, starring Rosemary McGraw, was named so by her mother who knew of the legend from Aurora despite not having every lived there, yet believing it to be true, and that her daughter is kin to the apparent alien that crashed in 1897.
