This Monday 11/3/2025, the Aurora United Methodist Church will offer Wal-Mart gift cards to SNAP recipients who bring proof of past benefits. This initiative is first come, first served, with support available for up to 50 families $35 Wal-Mart gift cards
How did we come up with $35 – with research we found that these 8 staple items- Ground Beef, Chicken, Cheese, Milk, Cereal, Peanut Butter, Jelly & Bread – were purchased the most with SNAP benefits- all of these items could be purchased at Wal-Mart for around $35..
