A tiger with one of the rarest coat patterns in the world, known as a "strawberry tiger," has captured global attention. The golden tabby tiger, also called the strawberry tiger, is not a separate species but a color variation caused by a recessive gene. Its fur ranges from pale gold to deep reddish-orange, with stripes that are darker brown rather than black.
The strawberry tiger is extremely rare. Fewer than 30 are believed to exist worldwide, all in captivity. The last confirmed wild sighting was in the 1970s. The variation occurs only in Bengal tigers and is often linked to inbreeding in captive populations. Conservationists generally discourage breeding for color variation, as it does not contribute to genetic diversity or species survival
