🎉 Happy 17th Birthday to Ty – Our First Born! 💙

Seventeen years ago today, I became a dad for the first time. I had no idea what I was doing—but then you showed up, and something in me shifted forever.

Ty, you’ve always been a leader—sometimes loud and goofy, sometimes quiet and deep—but always present. You have a way of bringing joy into any room while still carrying a depth beyond your years.

We’ve done a lot of crazy things together… building this Blessing Boys journey is just one of them. But getting to do it with you—watching you grow into a man of character, strength, humor, and kindness—that’s the real reward.

As you step into this next year, keep the faith. Keep following Jesus with everything you’ve got. There’s no greater adventure, no deeper purpose, and no stronger foundation. Your future is bright because it’s being built on the Rock.

Recently a disabled veteran reached out to me for help. His backyard has slowly become a jungle and it is now consuming everything back there. He told me he is used to being the one who people call on in time of need so it was hard for him to ask for help, but recently he fell in the yard trying to clean it up and was stuck until someone thankfully discovered him. Usually my sons are with me he.ping but they are still out of town visiting their grandmother. That being said this yard took me 2 days to clean up and after day 1 I realized there is no possible way I can haul this amount of debris off by myself so I had to call in back up. And boy was I right, 2 entire truckloads later this man has a completely transformed yard and he was so grateful. You don’t want to miss this one. Hang to the end to see not only the massive transformation and the huge haul off but the sweet response of this man who spent years serving others finally get a helping hand himself. Today, we stumbled on a yard that was completely overgrown—but what really caught our attention were the multiple city violation notices scattered across the property.
I knocked on the door to see if anyone was home, but no one answered. So I asked a neighbor if they knew anything—and that’s he told me the last he heard, the owner was sick and in a coma
It broke my heart to think this man could be fighting for his life while fines are piling up on his property, with no way for him to do anything about it.
So we decided to step in. I started cleaning up the yard, especially the front, just to help ease the pressure from the city. But right as we were wrapping up, another neighbor came by—and what he shared gave us the full story behind this house and the man who lives here.

Today we’re celebrating freedom, family, and freshly cut grass.

We may be spending our summer in overgrown yards, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Grateful to live in a country where we can serve others and chase big dreams!

I came across this yard that was so overgrown you could only see half the front door from the road so I knocked on the door to ask the owner if I could help. Before I could finish my sentence he quickly told me he didn’t have the money to get it taken care of. Then comes my favorite part, telling the person they don’t need money because it’s going to be completely free. Typical this gets a “free lawncare”? Response. The whole conversation shifts at that point and I love it. Now he was so incredibly thankful and kind that he was happy with us to just take care of the front yard but the next day when my son’s and I came back to mow we saw the back yard was in even worse shape than the front, so while he was at work we decided to surprise him with a backyard makeover as well, something he didn’t expect. Lots to look forward to on this one, fence problems, power lines, fans stopping by, the owners reaction, hang in to the end, the after photos came out amazing. Thanks for watching today.

Zion is 5 years old. He doesn’t always know what we’re doing, but he knows we’re doing it together.

Sometimes he gets tired. Sometimes he just wants snacks. But you know what else he’s learning?

That real work matters.

That helping others is worth sweating for.
That breaks feel better when you’ve earned them.
That showing up means something—even when you’re small.

I don’t need him to mow the perfect line. I just want him to know that hard work is a gift, not a punishment.

Because the world will try to convince him that comfort is the goal.
But comfort doesn’t build character.
Work does.

And if I can teach him that now… I don’t have to worry about who he’ll become later.

Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads out there — your love, presence, and sacrifice matter more than words can say.

And to those who grew up without a father — we see you too.

The good news? The story doesn’t have to end there.

We have the chance to be the kind of fathers we never had.

To build a new legacy.

I was driving by this yard and saw this lady frantically walking back and forth across the street. I noticed her backyard was completely overgrown so I stopped to talked to her. After the initial shock settled when we told her we do free yard transformations she agreed to let us help. This lady has been through some incredibly tough times lately as she shares throughout the video. But the most amazing part of this transformation was a dream for her backyard she shared with me on the side the first day. We wanted to make that dream come true so we worked it out in the end to surprise her and her reaction was priceless. Such an incredible opportunity to get to do this and to meet such a wonderful lady who just needed something to go right to help her get on her feet again. Thanks for hanging with us today. We couldn't do it without you all!
