WANT TO HELP SHAPE TRSW PROGRAMS?

We'd like more listener involvement in our programs, and we need your help.

You can suggest a Texan or Texas-related musician we can incorporate into our programming. If you're a dedicated fan of the artist and want to submit a playlist for us to look at, we'd like that. We might also ask you to introduce an entire program featuring your artist.

Listener Ian Wilkinson of Fletton, UK, submitted this article that was published in the September 2025 issue of Communication, the monthly bulletin of the British DX Club. It's reproduced here with permission.

If you're interested in exploring any of these options, send an email to [email protected].

Our friend Alan Roe in the UK has updated his list of around-the-clock music programs on shortwave radio. You can download it at https://app.box.com/s/kbdxb4c5lwpju0kpoi27aiwc35br2g2a.

The next update, for the B-25 scheduling period, will be released in mid-November. Alan's Holiday Programmes on Shortwave will be available in mid-December.

We're continuing our 9670 kHz broadcasts to North America at least through the end of the year in the hope that conditions will improve. (You'll recall that insanity is sometimes defined as doing the same thing and expecting different results!).

The best way for listeners outside Europe to hear TRSW is to use a remote European SDR such as the one at the University of Twente in the Netherlands (http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901). Most programs are scheduled at times convenient for NAm listeners.

On October 31, we hope Channel 292 will air the 2025 Texas Halloween show to North America on 9670 kHz. We’ve not received a confirmation from them.

The November schedule is tentative since we don't know how
transmissions from China and others will affect transmissions from ShortwaveRadio and Channel 202 at the beginning of the B-25 schedule period.

Beginning in November, we want to consolidate programs aired on ShortwaveRadio and Channel 292 on a single day rather than spread over several days. We're awaiting word from Channel 292 that they can change our schedule to accomplish that. ShortwaveRadio has already approved the change, subject to the conditions in the previous paragraph.

Our November show, Music of Flaco Jimenez, will be a tribute to the late Texas artist, announced by Mike Strah of Veracruz, Mexico. Mike announced our August show featuring music by the Bobby Fuller Four, a '60s Texas rock band.

Here's our verification for the Bobby Fuller Four show this weekend.
