Here's our April program schedule.

You’ll see that we discontinued 3955 kHz to Europe and the 0300 UTC broadcast to North America.

We want to schedule two good broadcasts to Europe and at least one good broadcast to North America, so we’d like comparative reports on the 6070 kHz transmissions for Europe and the 9670 kHz transmissions to North America.

If you’d like to help with the comparative reports, here are some tips to help us use your information most efficiently:

*Both the 6070 and both the 9670 kHz reports should be sent in seperate emails; please don’t combine reports on different frequencies in the same email.

*Please use SINPO signal quality ratings with a detailed explanation, and then let us know which broadcast overall is better at your location.

*Please include a representative audio clip from each transmission so we can hear what you heard.

Based on your reception reports, our May program schedule will cover the rest of the A-25 schedule period.

We’ll send a special QSL (different from the regular monthly design) for the comparative reports. You’ll also receive a regular QSL for one of the broadcasts you report on.

Thanks for your help.

We apologize, but because of technical issues, we won't be able to stream Joe "King" Carrasco on Mixcloud at 1800 UTC today.

Channel 292 has yet to publish its schedule for the beginning of the A-25 broadcast period, so we don't know if they'll air our programs at the times we requested.

For April 5 and 6, we requested 6070 kHz instead of 3995 kHz for Europe and 9670 kHz at 2300 UTC for North America.

We'll post the final here as soon as Channel 292 confirms it. In the meantime, here's what we hope the schedule will look like.

We received almost 100 reception reports for last weekend's regular broadcasts and test transmissions.

We're working to send out QSLs and ask for patience while we process the information.

Thanks.

Here are this weekend's QSLs for our regularly scheduled programs and transmission tests.

TEXAS RADIO SHORTWAVE TEST BROADCASTS – MARCH 1-2 ON 6070 KHZ & 9670 KHZ

Listener Reports Needed!

In addition to our regular monthly programs, we’ll conduct test broadcasts to improve our reach. Listener reports are crucial in determining whether we should adjust our schedule for April and beyond.

Test Schedule:

6070 kHz for Europe
• Saturday, March 1, at 1600 UTC
• Sunday, March 2, at 1200 UTC
Purpose: We are considering replacing 3955 kHz due to severe audio interference from another transmitter at Channel 292. If 6070 kHz provides better reception, we’ll make the switch.

9670 kHz for North America
• Sunday, March 2, at 2300 UTC
Purpose: We are considering replacing our early-morning UTC transmissions with late-night ones if the latter provides better reception.

Listener Reports & Special QSL Cards:

We’ll issue a unique verification for accurate reports on these test transmissions and our standard QSL for regular programming. We don’t know what the test QSL will look like, but we promise it will be a great addition to your collection!

To submit a report, listen for at least 20 minutes and email your reception details to [email protected].

Your feedback is essential in shaping our future broadcasts. Thanks for tuning in and supporting Texas Radio Shortwave!

STREAMING SWEDISH PIRATE RADIO IGLOO ON MIXCLOUD SUNDAY, JANUARY 12 AT 1800 UTC

Propagation to many parts of the world was terrible for TRSW’s January 5th broadcast on 9670 kHz. We want listeners to have a chance to hear what they missed: an hour of music and talk from Radio Igloo.

We’re streaming the show at 1800 UTC on Sunday, January 12. We’ll run our interval signal from 1758 so listeners can set up their equipment to listen or record the program.
