LuminaryLighthouse Shining light wherever it may go! Here we reinterpret history because as far as I'm concerned, we know nothing! Shining light wherever it may lead. Love y’all.

This page is about reinterpreting history, looking at the past through a different lens and letting you decide what makes sense. I’ve walked through some dark times in my life that helped shape the person I am today. Luminary Lighthouse embodies that journey, and I wouldn’t change a thing. It was all needed for this moment.

The more I dig into South America, the more I realize how much of the story of the Americas gets lost when we reduce everything to simply “colonization.” These cities, deserve a much closer look. There’s a LOT more to the Americas than we were ever taught. 🌎

THESE SHOULDNT BE THERE IF HISTORY WAS TRUE! ❤️
… IMO🤷‍♂️😉

According to the story, Alfred Ely Beach secretly built a roughly 300-foot pneumatic railway beneath Broadway while officially working under permission for a much smaller pneumatic mail/package system.

Underground. Beneath one of the busiest streets in America. In the 1860s.

The finished demonstration included a brick tunnel, passenger car, track, pneumatic machinery and an elaborate station …and supposedly much of the work was carried out at night, with excavated material quietly removed so the project wouldn’t attract attention.

Then in 1870, the public was introduced to Beach’s Pneumatic Transit.

Maybe that’s exactly how it happened.

But when you actually look at the illustrations, the tunnel, the machinery and the finished station, you got to wonder… was this OW TECH?!?!
