Simon Rosselli needed all of that U20 American Record on the final throw of his series to overtake Estonia’s Sten-Erik Iir who was leading 65.42 to 64.16 heading into the final round. His 66.39 (217-9) secured the Gold Medal and bettered the previous American Record of 214-4 set in 2009 by Mason Finley.

ICYMI: Miles Nesmith out of Memphis, Tennessee broke the US High School Triple jump record after his leap of 55’ 1” in the 5th round of the U20 World Championships. The previous record of 54’ 10.25” held by Kenny Hall of Louisiana had stood since 2004. Nesmith placed 2nd overall in the competition and now hold both indoor and outdoor records.

On Track-ish presented by Brooks, Caleb Winders predicted exactly how he and Hayden Pervis would execute their AAU 800m prelim, switching the lead each 200m.

THE NAILED IT!! 😳

Caleb heads into Wednesday’s final as the top seed after running 1:53.43 and owns a lifetime best of 1:46.85.
