Which Austin icon was born on this day?

Happy birthday to the late founder of Austin’s home to the blues, Clifford Antone. Over 50 years and across 6 locations, Antone’s Nightclub hosted a long list of blues legends: Muddy Waters, B.B. King, the Vaughan brothers, and many more.

To this day, Antone’s legacy echoes from the small club on 5th Street.

OCT 24 marks the release of “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere” — a new rock n’ roll biopic starring Jeremy Allen White that dives deep into one of the darkest periods of Bruce Springsteen’s life.

In 1982, a depressed Springsteen created his sixth studio album, “Nebraska,” entirely alone in his bedroom. Using a simple 4-track cassette recorder, he captured 10 songs that mirrored his mind’s inner turmoil, exploring lyrical themes of violence, loneliness, childhood trauma, and grief.
