Although I only publish STEM content on my YouTube channel, I’ve noticed that factors like outfit and style seem to impact video performance.
In the left video (casual look), I received 14,600 views in 48 hours. In the right video (bolder look), I received 35,800 views in the same time—more than 2x the views.
Of course, content plays a role too—“What is a Neural Network?” might have broader appeal than “What is a Loss Function?”. Still, it's a reminder that even in STEM education, the audience often pays more attention to appearance than you'd expect.
