He is the quiet one at the big table.

In his book he is the hero who brings everyone together for the feast.

Same face, same gap where a tooth used to be, painted from one photo.

He read his own name and sat up a little taller.

Our take: a kid starts to believe he matters when he sees himself matter. A story is a gentle place for that to start.

The paper book gets more talking. Researchers watched it happen.

A study in Pediatrics compared parents reading with toddlers from print books and from tablets.

With print books, parents and toddlers talked more and interacted better.

Tablets are not bad. Some screens just pull eyes to the glass instead of to each other.

Our take: we build with AI and we say so. We still think the best bedtime tech is a page you both lean over.

When does your kid talk the most during story time? Tell us below.

Study: Munzer et al., Pediatrics, 2019.

My mom says the dragon is just me being brave.

That is a real kind of thing a kid says about her own book.

The scary part of the story is the part where she grows bigger than the fear.

When the hero looks like her, the courage feels borrowable.

Our take: kids do not need to be told they are brave. They need to watch themselves do the brave thing on the page.

What is your kid a little bit scared of right now? Tell us below.

Screens are not the enemy. The default is.

We are an AI company. We are not here to shame a tablet.

The problem is the autoplay, the endless scroll, the thing built to keep going.

A book ends. It hands the night back to you.

Choose the tool on purpose and the same twenty minutes feels completely different.

Our take: technology is fine. Thoughtless defaults are the thing worth questioning.

What is one screen habit you have swapped for a book? Tell us below.

She lost the race. The book is about what she did next.

Grace ran with everything she had and Mia crossed the line one toe ahead. Grace swallowed the frown, walked over, and shook her hand.

Kids hear "be a good sport" all the time. Watching a hero with their own face actually do it lands differently.

Our take: losing well is a skill, and a story is a gentle place to practice it.

What did your kid do after the last game they lost? Tell us below.

An old photo of Dad at six. Now he is the hero of a book his kid can read.

In the book, six-year-old Danny builds a cardboard boat after the rain and sails it through the puddles on his street. He calls it the Puddle Kingdom.

Seeing a parent as a little kid does something. Suddenly they were small once too.

Our take: family stories are how kids learn where they come from. Sometimes the story is Dad at six.

What would your kid ask you at their age? Tell us below.

The wheelchair is in the painting too.

The whole kid gets painted. The chair, the grin, the way she leans into a turn.

Upload one photo and she is the hero exactly as she is.

Nothing to hide, nothing to fix, just her on an adventure.

Our take: a kid should not have to imagine the parts of themselves a story left out. So we leave nothing out.

What makes your kid unmistakably them? Tell us below.

She is always the one holding the camera.

Every family photo exists because of her, and she is never in it.

In her book she spends a sunny afternoon photographing ducklings, a fish-shaped kite, a dandelion as big as a tree. Then her family hands the camera to Grandpa and pulls her into the picture.

One photo, and a whole book where she is the hero.

Our take: the kid who notices everyone deserves one story that notices her back.

Six weeks in a cast is a long story. Let him be the hero of it.

In his book Theo's arm rests in a sling, so he becomes the captain. He reads the map, calls out the clues, and his little sister and the dog follow them across the backyard.

Upload one photo, cast and all, and your kid stars in a story made for their rough stretch.

The free preview takes a few minutes.

It prints as a real hardcover and ships in 9 to 12 days door to door.

That timing suits a long recovery better than a quick cold.

Code WELCOME25 takes 25% off your first book.

Our take: get-well gifts are usually candy and a balloon. A story where they are strong outlasts the cast.

Some pages get painted more than once. This is one of them.

The first version was close. The smile was not hers.

Close does not count when a kid is looking for herself. So the page went back.

The second pass got it. The gap in the grin, the flyaway hair, all of it.

Our take: recognition is the whole point. A child who finds her real face in a story believes the brave parts a little more.

What would your kid check first, the hair or the smile?
