✨ ARTIST FEATURE: Lydia Loveless ✨

Lydia Loveless is a Bootgaze singer-songwriter from Columbus Ohio. Loveless’ brand of heartland rock has been embraced by critics and listeners alike, with their fanbase growing to include some of Loveless’ heroes like Lucinda Williams and Jason Isbell. The unmistakable voice, an incisive way with melody, and an unrelenting willingness to cast the first stone inward are all hallmarks of Loveless’ songwriting. Since Loveless’ debut, Indestructible Machine (2011) a steady stream of critically acclaimed albums have followed and over the years. Appearances on CBS This Morning: Saturday Sessions, NPR’s Tiny Desk and at major festivals like Stagecoach and AmericanaFest have widened the net of Loveless’ fan base. Their most recent release is a piano-ballad re-telling of her breakout release, Somewhere Else (2014) entitled, Something Else which was released on August 23, 2024. 

From the brash to the delicate, Loveless will welcome you in with a commanding presence, big voice and a turn of a phrase that all at once breaks your heart and makes you a fan for life. Lydia has new music coming this Fall on Bloodshot Records.

Hailing from the historically rich city of Charleston, South Carolina, Americana music artist Hunter Park is defining what it means to not only live in the modern south, but to be a trans woman and artist within this landscape. Combining folk-infused vocal melodies and evocative lyrics that capture the unfiltered human experience, She Returns From War is taking her seat in the Americana music world with grace, strength, and passion. In 2026, the project shows no signs of slowing down. From opening for Bernie Sanders at his presidential rally in Charleston, to performing at national festivals like Stagecoach and High Water Festival and with artists such as Pat Benatar, Band of Horses, and Nikki Lane, She Returns From War is sharing with the world what the modern south should look and feel like: inclusive, compassionate, unfiltered, and loving.

✨ARTIST FEATURE: Brian Falduto ✨

Brian Falduto came into prominence after playing the role of Billy, nicknamed Fancy Pants by Jack Black in the cult classic film School of Rock. Now as an adult, he’s transformed into a bonafide gay country artist destined for superstardom.

His debut album, Gay Country, included “Same Old Country Love Song,” an LGBTQ+ country music anthem for those previously left out by country music. The song took TikTok by storm and was greeted with a flood of positive encouragement & excitement, as well as numerous viral video responses of fans celebrating, singing, & dancing along.

We’re thrilled to have Brian this year at Q***r Roots! Come sing and dance along! 🎶. Brian goes on around 3:45pm!

From the survival-turned-song of her debut Felony Blues, through the self-discovery of Neon Cross, to the healing and freedom of her latest album Feel Good - Jaime Wyatt writes her way toward the truth, bending country around soul, groove, and psyche while staying rooted in storytelling.

Jaime doesn’t write to fit a mold. She writes to make room - for outliers, for q***r love, for joy, for resilience. It’s a journey of healing, of standing up for the people she loves, of living and singing honestly until every story is out of her.

Tulsa native, Jared Tyler, has been a music maker for over 3 decades working with numerous artists such as fellow Q***r Roots artists, Jaimee Harris and Mary Gauthier.

Dirt on Your Hands is Tyler’s 3rd solo record.
Written as a nod to his roots and community, the record is the most Americana/roots sounding project that he has ever released as an artist. “Dirt on Your Hands” made it to the top 25 Americana records of 2017. Described as World Beat-Americana-Soul, Tyler’s music straddles many genres including folk, blues, bluegrass, country, gospel, red dirt and soul without losing focus on the songwriting and Tyler’s voice.

The safety of this community is our number one priority:

Franky J’s has already been doing the work when it comes to creating safer spaces for Nashville’s LGBTQIA+ community , including working with local law enforcement and community partners around helping identify places where our community can feel safer and supported.

So when Franky J’s stepped up to sponsor security for Q***r Roots, it felt especially meaningful.

This isn’t just a logo on a flyer. It’s one q***r space showing up for another and helping us make sure our artists and community can gather, celebrate, and be exactly who they are.
