Jamie inspired me to do a little installation for his art party and one was already brewing unbeknownst to me.

Future Nostalgia— born of accidental double exposures from the past few months shot on a Mamiya medium format camera, where moments overlap to reveal an uncanny sense of connection across time, place, and memory. Drawing on ideas like quantum superposition and Schrödinger’s cat, the images hold multiple realities at once, suggesting that what we call coincidence may be something more intentional, more layered. At its core, the work reflects Carl Jung’s idea that when two lives meet, like chemicals, they transform. These images begin to feel less like accidents and more like echoes of a larger tapestry, as if certain people, places, and moments were designed to come together.

When I was a wee teenage lass I got No Bad Days tattooed on my side in the font of a Guy Clark poster bill from Castle Creek I found in family archives. My dad used to love playing this album on long drives and was the first time I ever saw him cry singing Always Trust Your Cape.

Here’s our version from the Handshakes album. strings on this are so hauntingly beautiful and I treasure the thought of hearing this come together live soon!
