Our Story

Matt Telfer and Tony Walsh built The Musicians Woodshed to fulfill their dream of having a truly unique guitar store that was as much an experience as it was a place to learn or shop. It has now evolved into one of the most unique music schools in Austin. Since then, we’ve grown from 20 students a week to over 600 students a week between our two locations!

The Cedar Park location is our second location and we look forward to being a staple in the Avery Ranch Community.

We offer private lessons in guitar, piano, drums, bass, vocals, ukulele, brass/woodwinds in addition to orchestral instruments!

Our Lesson Plans are peer-to-peer curriculum, that's personally customized to suit each student's aptitude, interests and learning pace.
