The Womb

The Womb Recording Studio :: Austin, TX The Womb is a recording studio located a few miles south of downtown Austin, TX. We aim to make great records with good people.

The studio features Pro Tools HD Native and Logic Pro, boutique outboard gear, experienced ears, and great sounding rooms at very competitive prices. If you live outside of Austin and would like to spend some time recording at The Womb, we have sleeping accommodations with a private bathroom and washer/dryer in the space above the studio. We offer this to out of town clients at no additional cost.

A few months ago a band called Offset (Banda Offset) and their Producer Marco Lafico traveled all the way from Brazil to live and work at The Womb for three weeks. Local songstress Emily Morris was at The Womb this past fall recording her debut album, All Things Grow. A pretty long list of great Austin musicians contributed parts. The album came out earlier this year and Emily plan’s to release some b-sides in the near future as well. Check it out here…

Spent the last few weeks recording/producing a rock/folk band from San Paulo, Brazil. It was a pretty special and culturally enriching experience. Definitely the first band to travel that far to work with me. Looking forward to mixing next month.
