💥⚡️✨Hey friends, clients and family ….
Terra Nova Mastering will be taking a 6 week break starting June 20, 2025 (Friday) through early August.
We are relocating our studio (and residence) to the West Texas Oasis of Levelland.
After 35 years of enjoying the amazing city in Austin, we're ready for a change.
We should be up and running at the new studio by early August.
Terra Nova Mastering Online will continue as normal, only better !
Thanks for your patience and understanding, and we are looking
forward to continuing our work, just in a different location.
Our email, telephone & Facebook contact will continue as normal, and we will keep the posting going, so look for updates about date of re-opening.
Exciting new adventures are coming for us, and we we have the BEST memories of our time here in the ATX, working with so many great people!

So a few years ago I wandered into the local HiFi Shop (Magnolia), where they have Very Expensive High End components such as B&W Speakers & McIntosh amplifiers. Lo and Behold I looked over in the corner and they had this Norah Jones at ACL Live double LP that I had Mastered along with audio guru Chet Himes. I asked the salesman about it, and he said Yes it was their very favorite LP for Demo'ing their High-End turntables, amplifiers & speakers. We had printed the Masters at HD24-bit 48kHz WAVE, so i knew the Fidelity was Great, but it's always nice to get downstream confirmation. It was a Good Day!

Public Service Announcement! I don't work with any mixes that have been treated with any kind of "Auto-Master" software or plug-in. Too many problems & issues, including ethical ones. Those things can make it Loud, but the content of the mix is Mangled. Sending us the straight, balanced Mix is always best. Cheers, JT
