Say goodbye to paper plates, Texas!

Starting TODAY, House Bill 718 is officially in effect — no more temporary paper tags for vehicles sold by dealers.

Why? Fake tags have become a criminal’s favorite disguise. HB 718 slams the brakes on that by requiring metal plates at the point of sale.

But don’t panic if you just bought a car — paper tags issued before July 1st are still valid for 30 days from the date of sale.

It’s a win for law enforcement.
A loss for car thieves.
And one less loophole for criminals to hide behind.

🕊 Honoring the Legacy of Sgt. Korby Kennedy, San Angelo PD.

Today marks the 10-year anniversary of the tragic loss of Sgt. Korby Kennedy—a devoted public servant whose legacy continues to inspire.

POMF proudly supports the San Angelo Police Officers’ Coalition in commemorating this solemn anniversary. A full day of remembrance is planned, including an honor watch throughout the day and memorial this evening.

🕊️ Honoring a Hero: Sgt. Korby Kennedy
Tomorrow, June 25, marks a decade since we lost Sgt. Korby Kennedy. An irreplaceable part of the San Angelo Police Department family, he was also a tireless CLEAT organizer who negotiated several contracts, settled numerous grievances, and helped establish Meet and Confer for his local association.
To commemorate his life, service, and sacrifice, the San Angelo Police Officers’ Coalition will host a day of remembrance, including an Honor Watch beginning at 9am and a memorial ceremony to follow at 5pm.
CLEAT encourages all members and supporters to take a moment tomorrow to reflect on the legacy of service and courage he left behind.
