Lo van Gorp Announces His Long-Awaited Second Album, The Works
Album Release: June 6, 2025 (Worldwide) | June 4, 2025 (Japan – P-Vine Records)

Dutch musician Lo van Gorp is poised to make a lasting impression again with his long-awaited second album, The Works, set for release on June 6, 2025. Following the success of his acclaimed debut, True Friends—a standout in the Yacht Rock/AOR scene Lo returns with a record that delves even deeper into his personal and musical journey.

True Friends received significant airplay on NPO Radio 1 and Radio 5, opening doors to major opportunities, including supporting the renowned American band Venice. The album also succeeded in Japan through P-Vine Records, bringing Lo’s soulful sound to an international audience.

Now, The Works follows in its predecessor’s footsteps, with a special Japanese edition releasing on June 4, 2025, via P-Vine Records—two days ahead of the European release.

With The Space Choir, a fresh wind is blowing through the Dutch choral scene. From twenty-somethings to retirees, the q***r community, experienced and first-time vocalists – everyone is welcome! The Space Choir is all about connection and joy: members set their own contribution fee, rehearse weekly in Rotterdam, The Hague or Utrecht, and above all, learn to groove together.
When Australian pop star Troye Sivan shared a live video of the choir, things moved quickly. National media outlets, including Het Parool, 3FM, NPO Radio 1 and 2, Hart van Nederland, and Editie NL picked up the story in early May. Hundreds of new signups poured in, and the choir was invited to perform at Utrecht Pride, Amsterdam Pride and beyond.
The Space Choir was founded by Lucas Vermeer with a mission to bring people of all ages and backgrounds together through singing. Their repertoire includes surprising bangers such as So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings by Caroline Polachek, Bodyguard by Beyoncé, and Back on 74 by Jungle. With no auditions or selection process, The Space Choir offers a space where everyone is welcome to raise their voice.
The choir is currently preparing for a series of special performances as part of their own festival, Het Nieuwe Houden. On November 29, they’ll take the stage in the Main Hall of De Doelen, followed by performances at De Melkweg (December 6) and TivoliVredenburg (December 14).
The live single One Of Your Girls was recorded in late March at Theater Zuidplein, during a series of anniversary shows celebrating the choir’s first birthday.

Global Release: Fay Sings Barbra Streisand – May 2, 2025
On May 2, 2025, the highly anticipated live album Fay Sings Barbra Streisand will be released worldwide. And from February 22, 2026, Fay Claassen returns to the stage with a reprise tour alongside Mike Boddé and band, performing in at least ten theatres, with dates and venues to be announced.
“What an enriching and beautiful musical journey this has been,” Fay says.
Even as Fay Claassen’s acclaimed theatre tour—featuring 23 performances across the Netherlands, many of them sold out—is still ongoing, a new musical chapter is already on the horizon. Starting February 2026, she brings Fay Sings Barbra Streisand back to theatres with a brand-new series of performances.
As a special treat for fans, a physical live album will be released on April 4, featuring recordings from the first four shows, including the renowned Kleine Komedie in Amsterdam. Released by Fay Claassen / M.A.R.S. Worldwide, the album features 12 tracks, including gems such as Papa, Can You Hear Me?, Evergreen, Happy Days Are Here Again, and People.
Fay reflects on the latter track:
“In times like these, with so much uncertainty and tension, we need each other more than ever. As people, we’re part of something bigger—we may try to isolate ourselves, but ultimately, we all share this one planet. Let’s learn to live in connection and solidarity.”

An All-Star Line-Up
Fay is joined on stage and on the album by some of the Netherlands’ most sought-after musicians:

· Tom Beek (saxophone, keyboards)
The album was recorded by Lex Amrein and features a blend of classics and lesser-known Streisand treasures, including The Way He Makes Me Feel from Yentl, featuring a beautiful solo by saxophonist Tom Beek.

An Original Song by Mike Boddé
TV personality and pianist Mike Boddé also composed an original song for the show, titled The Little Girl in Me, reflecting on Barbra Streisand’s personal struggles.
“When I hear Barbra, I imagine a little girl who had to grow up far too quickly—losing her father at a young age, and dealing with a difficult relationship with her mother,” Boddé shared in an interview with Wilfred Genee on BNR Radio.
“If you ever think I come across as difficult or a perfectionist,” he writes in the song, “know that it’s just the little girl in me who had to grow up too soon.”

About the Show
Fay Sings Barbra Streisand is a heartfelt tribute to Streisand’s most iconic songs—including Woman in Love, Guilty, and People—and overlooked gems. Fay is accompanied by a stellar band and the grand piano stylings of Mike Boddé. Together, they share personal stories, humor, and anecdotes about Streisand in a performance full of warmth, nostalgia, and musical depth. The show is co-directed by Karin Bloemen and Marnix Busstra.

There Is Time is Vincent van Warmerdam’s debut album as a singer-songwriter. In his own words:

“There Is Time is a collection of songs that reveals my love for folk- and blues-influenced pop music, indebted to both old and new heroes like Brian Wilson, Randy Newman, Gillian Welch, and Blake Mills. Some songs were written for theater or film, others simply for the joy of writing. Over time, the theme of time itself emerged—not only in the lyrics but as the driving force to finish the record. It felt like now or never.”

While guitar remains his musical foundation—and the return of the short guitar solo felt inevitable—stepping into the role of lead vocalist was a bold move. “There was no way around it,” he says. He enlisted the help of close musical friends, including Cato van Dijck (My Baby), Djurre de Haan (AWKWARD i), and the formidable Theo Sieben, who contributed guitar, mandolin, pedal steel, and vocals. The alternation of voices strengthens the impression of a narrative unfolding through different characters. The plot remains elusive, but the listener is invited to piece together their own story.

The lyrics evoke imagery rather than anecdotes. Some were written by Van Warmerdam himself, others by poet Maria Barnas, with contributions from Djurre de Haan and performer Servaes Nelissen. He also borrowed existing texts from beat poet Allen Ginsberg and the wry and witty Dorothy Parker.

The album was engineered and produced by Danny Gras. Recordings took place in the atmospheric rehearsal space of Dutch band De Kift. Marcel Albers and Rose Spearman of M.A.R.S. Worldwide provided creative encouragement. A cast of talented friends passed through the studio—sometimes one by one, sometimes in full ensemble. Featured musicians include:

Dichi Wit, Gerard Atema, Mischa Porte, Hein Offermans, Christan Muiser, Patrick Votrian, Rens van der Zalm, Arjen de Graaf, Joost Buis, Daniël “Dafreez” Johnson, Kees van der Vooren, and Peter van Straten.

To quote Oscar Hammerstein II:

“A bell’s not a bell ’til you ring it, a song’s not a song ’til you sing it.”
