KMFA serves approximately 100,000 listeners each week and features both locally produced shows as well as nationally distributed programming. KMFA encourages arts education, supports the Central Texas community, and strives to enhance the region’s cultural environment.

SXSW is a magical and busy time for Austin, and it brings us amazing artists we don’t normally cross paths with. visited the studio for a performance and interview, and her Winterreise is still buzzing in our heads!

4. The Declaration Project
Our ongoing collaboration with on her celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States has brought so many fond memories to the KMFA staff. Her visit this summer engaged a wide audience in Austin including Westminster Senior Living, local students, and our Crescendo Circle donors. More to come on The Declaration Project in 2026🙌
