Wanted to take a moment to share why your boy loves flower so much.
Growing up, I always had a ton of energy and wanted to be involved in everything. About two years ago, I was professionally diagnosed with moderate-to-severe adult ADHD, along with depression and anxiety. This diagnosis helped explain why I was so “on” as a kid and why my brain has always been wired to stay busy.
Speaking only from my personal experience, medication has helped me tremendously. It has allowed me to show up to my Monday – Friday job focused, motivated, and consistent. Without it, I struggle more with getting started, staying on task, and finishing what I need to finish.
I don’t abuse smoking flower. I do so responsibly. The times I do smoke, I do so because I need to get chores or errands done. For me, flower creates a calm, “zen” headspace that helps quiet the mental noise and makes it easier to move through tasks with more clarity and control. I’m still aware of myself and my surroundings — it simply helps me feel more regulated and functional.
So before judging someone for using flower or THC/CBD products, consider that people use these tools for different reasons. A little empathy goes a long way, and it costs nothing to keep negative comments to yourself.
