Since earning her MFA in Choreography and Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Ms. Loring has taught, performed and written about dance in Texas, Colorado, Massachusetts and London. She directs Mosaic Dance Body (MDB), and has created over 30 works and five f
ull-length dance/theatre concerts. Her choreography has been described as "goofy, pointed political theatre" by the Boston Globe; “fresh and clever with a sarcastic wit” and MDB as a company that is “not afraid to take themselves a little less seriously to achieve some big laughs” by the Austin American-Statesman. Loring has taught children, youth and adults in situations ranging from studio classes to in-school curriculum-based movement classes and seminars and university technique and lecture courses. Her classes have a strong technical base and an appreciation for the varied training backgrounds of dance students. Her work has been performed by Classic Dance Ensemble at Prairie View A&M, Suffolk University (MA) She has also published reviews and articles on dance, film and theatre for the Boston Globe, the Austin Chronicle and The Dancing Times magazine.
