2026 kicks off with a bang! And a crash! And a boom! 💥 So excited that we’re rolling out “Cut to the Chase”, a fun and technically mind-blowing romp in the style of a classic spy vs. spy caper. I am genuinely am grateful and honored to have directed this short film that showcased the PXO Akira Virtual Production Ecosystem along with Sony’s incredible cinema tools.

I also had the privilege of collaborating with super cool artists, technicians, and crew members from all over the world like stars and production designer .magallan producers and stunt coordinator and makeup artist

Welcomed familiar faces from , my alma mater, to the lot and gave bright-eyed, hopeful film students a glimpse into life on set. We skimmed over some details - like having a therapist on speed dial while making sure you have generational wealth to fall back on in between writing that One Script for 7 years only to be replaced by a robot - but I think they got the gist 😉

Had a fantastic time this weekend meeting one of my favorite artists ! Josh Agle, a pop surrealist whose work encompasses mid-century modern playfulness, has been a huge inspiration since I was a teen. Whenever I’m trying to figure out the vibe of a film or story, Josh’s use of color and composition tends to inspire the whimsically weird visual style of the films I make. Hopefully after designing this house in Palm Springs, he’ll dabble in production design for a film or two 😎 🎥 🍹
