It’s really a learning experience when we watch other people retell stories and become completely reactivated as if they’re in this negative story from decades ago, their heartbeat is quickens, it’s like they almost savor retelling this awful experience they had with someone. Sometimes the best way to see ourselves clearly, is through other people’s actions who show up in a way where we can see ourselves, and how we don’t want to behave.
Of course, we should process the past, get therapy, heal, but we all know people who just get stuck in it and it becomes their entire identity and they refuse to move forward.
Separately, one of our sister print publications is doing a very large feature on transformative travel and we would love to invite our readers to submit. All of the details are in a kickback email at their address: [email protected] ❤️ if there’s a destination or a trip that really impacted you, whether it’s after your kids left the nest, a relationship fell apart, if there’s a destination or an experience, hiking, open water, swimming, whatever it was somewhere in the world, they would love to know about it for their upcoming issue.
