Up next on release here at Eastside, the sonically fearless ! ‘American Girl’ by Jacque is out everywhere now!
Jacque is a new comer with us here at the studio but walked in and settled into the recording world like few others. She had a beautiful vision and feel for what the world needed to be and guided all the musicians and crew involved on this one flawlessly. A hazy memory song filled with longing peddle steel and beautiful keys accompany her story driven vocals perfectly in this ode to a long ago childhood snapshot of a memory. Thankful it’s out for all to hear. You rock, !

We are starting a busy release week here at Eastside with our main man and his new album, ‘Day Dreams at night’!

Alex worked with us previously on his first full length, and had even grander plans for his follow up. What followed was a year long journey down jazz-pop music lane, with numerous amounts of hours and days spent toiling over this fine collection of music. We couldn’t be prouder of the art that came from working with such a fine creative, and all the friends that helped bring this together. Listen to ‘Day Dreams at Night’ by aMar wherever you choose, and send and his hurricanes a congrats when you can.

Shout out to our Montana friends for the stock up on cables recently! We wanted a refresh of the guitar cables here in the studio and wanted something that has the durability of the road but the signal integrity of the studio. So it was an easy choice to hit them up for a bundle of cable fun! They even helped us design a custom 4 channel send return loom for our radial reamp. Thanks !

Meet our Chief Engineer: Austin from Austin!

“Growing up on cassette tapes and CDs of Def Leppard and Boston, I found a love for music through my father’s eclectic 70s and 80s rock collection. I chased music early, learning guitar and piano at a young age and playing with several bands in high school. But once I set foot in a recording studio, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life!”

Upon graduating from Texas State University’s Sound Recording Program, Austin teamed up with Eastside Music School to rebrand and reopen Eastside Music Studios. He has mastered the art of taking a simple melody, lyric, or progression and pushing it to its sonic limit, making for dynamic, emotion-filled soundscapes. Whether he’s re-amping drums through guitar pedals or hammering out a podcast score, Austin has never backed down from adventure in the studio, exploring new sounds and modes of sound engineering with musicians and creatives alike.

Garett Todd is a Recording/Mixing engineer and versatile multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, drums, piano/keyboards). Growing up in western Kentucky, his musical journey began playing in multiple rock, country, and gospel bands around the area at a young age. His tastes in music span from the soulful grooves of Al Green to the gritty edge of Alice in Chains, from the velvety tones of D’Angelo to the explosive energy of Deftones, from the down-home storytelling of Brent Cobb to the laid back reggae rhythms of Bob Marley, and everything in between—Dr. Hook to Dr. Dog, Eminem to The Eagles, Chuck Mangione to Jim Croce…. He likes a little bit of everything!

A proud alum of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Garett earned his degree in Music Production and Engineering while gaining experience at some of the city’s most respected studios. He quickly found his passion for making records with artists from all corners of the globe in many different genres. Since relocating to Austin in 2023, he has been working at Cedar Creek Studio and Eastside Studios. You may also spot him behind the soundboard at The Elephant Room, The Continental Club, C-Boy’s Heart and Soul, and other iconic live music venues around Austin.
