Winter Days in Colorado❄️
🚗 Day 0 – Drive from Texas to Colorado
Travel Time: 10 hrs
🛤️Day 1 – Colorado Springs
Base: Colorado Springs
•Garden of the Gods
Stunning red rock formations — go early morning or sunset for best lighting.
•Pikes Peak Cog Railway
Easy way to reach the summit of Pikes Peak without driving.
Optional add-on if time permits: Old Colorado City for dinner.
🏔 Day 2 – Vail
Drive: ~2.5 hrs from Colorado Springs
•Vail Village
Walk the alpine-style village, shops, and scenic paths.
Tip: Stop at scenic overlooks on I-70 — the drive itself is beautiful.
🚠 Day 3 – Breckenridge
Drive: ~2 hrs from Colorado Springs
•Breckenridge Gondola (Free ride!)
•Explore Peak 7 & Peak 8 areas for views and short hikes.
•Walk historic Main Street.
Great spot for casual mountain-town vibes.
⛪🌲 Day 4 – Denver & Estes Park
Drive: ~1.5 hrs to Denver, then ~1.5 hrs to Estes Park
•Attend Mass at Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception
Beautiful architecture — worth arriving early.
•Visit Estes Park
Gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park (if you want scenic drives).

One of the largest hot spring pools in the world — perfect relaxing stop after hiking days.

Near Denver
•Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Go even if there’s no concert — you can walk the amphitheater and enjoy amazing views.

* Check weather (even summer afternoons can have storms).
* Hydrate — elevation is real!
* Book Pikes Peak train & hot springs ahead during peak season.
