Dublin-born, thirty years an immigrant, henryohenry’s debut Apocrypha is the work of a songwriter who arrived at music sideways: through the trades, through Whitman, through a $6 charity-shop guitar. Produced by filmmaker Rick Alverson and anchored by luminous playing from Eamon O’Leary and Ned Steves, the record is quiet, precise, and completely its own thing.

“The Fool” is the first single from Apocrypha, which is out September 18 and features contributions from:
