Wonderful news: Hank Hehmsoth’s artwork has been selected for the Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment’s 2026–2028 People’s Gallery exhibition at City of Austin Government City Hall.

The selected work will be announced soon. The exhibition opens October 2, 2026.

I’m delighted to share that my artwork has been selected for the Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧’𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟖 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞’𝐬 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at .

I submitted three works for consideration: 𝑇ℎ𝑟𝑒𝑒 𝑇𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑎𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑠, 𝑆𝑒𝑙𝑓 𝑃𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑡, and 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑅𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝐼𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒. Each is part of my continuing exploration of the relationship between music and visual art—how rhythm, improvisation, touch, memory, and musical gesture can become color and abstract form.

The selected work or works will be confirmed soon, and I’ll share more when the exhibition details arrive.

The People’s Gallery opening reception will take place Friday, October 2, 2026, at 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥.
