Spreading Love & Comfort: Our Visit to Children Battling Bone Cancer in Boston
Last week, the CoreNaps team had the honor of visiting a children’s hospital in Boston, where we spent the day with some incredibly brave young fighters—children battling bone cancer. It was a day filled with laughter, hugs, and deep emotions that reminded us all of the strength of the human spirit.
🦴 Understanding Bone Cancer in Children
Bone cancer is rare, but when it strikes, it hits hard—especially in children. It often affects the long bones in the arms and legs, and symptoms can include persistent pain, swelling, or even fractures. For many kids, treatment involves intense chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery, sometimes even amputation.
It’s not just physically demanding—it’s emotionally overwhelming. That’s why emotional support, comfort, and human connection matter just as much as medical care.
💙 A Visit Filled with Hope and Heart
Our CoreNaps team, including some of the doctors and specialists we work closely with, brought more than just gifts—we brought time, attention, and joy. From storytelling sessions and laughter-filled games to quiet moments just holding hands, the day was about being present with the kids.
We shared soft pillows and comfort items to help with their rest and healing, but most importantly, we shared love.
What stood out most were the smiles. These children, despite their pain, had such incredible energy and courage. They reminded us why our mission to improve rest and recovery is so important—especially for those who need it the most.
🙌 Gratitude to the Medical Heroes
We also want to give a heartfelt thank-you to the amazing hospital staff, the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who dedicate their lives to helping these young patients heal. Their compassion and resilience are nothing short of inspiring.
✨ Leaving With Full Hearts
Our visit reminded us that behind every diagnosis is a child who dreams, laughs, and needs comfort. And at CoreNaps, we’re committed to doing our part—because rest isn’t just about sleep. It’s about peace, love, and care.
To all the little warriors we met: you inspire us more than you’ll ever know. 💛
