๐ฑ The Vegan Yacht Is Moving to East Austin
๐ Comment โREPORTโ for my FREE Austin Food Guide featuring new openings, local favorites, and must-try spots around the city!
One of Austinโs longtime vegan favorites is starting a new chapter. The Vegan Yacht โ plans to return in East Austin this September after closing its South Austin brick-and-mortar location in August.
The family-owned business started as a food trailer in 2010 before eventually moving into a permanent space at 2000 Southern Oaks Dr. Now, owners Mike and Danielle Wood are taking the concept back to its food-trailer roots.
Fans can expect the plant-based comfort food that built its following, including its popular Freeto Burrito, tempeh-based dishes and other vegan favorites.
An exact East Austin address and reopening date have not yet been announced.
Why This Matters
Instead of disappearing after its South Austin closure, one of Austinโs longest-running plant-based concepts is reinventing itself and heading east.
