Last night at the Boundaries / STYG show, a lot happened. Like, A LOT! people going to the ER across the street to people being carted out by EMS and toss in a couple heat casualties. By God you better believe I was gonna get a picture to remember the night.

After the dust had settled, and after taking pictures for other people at the end of the show, I asked if I could capture a moment for myself. Really great dudes putting out some really great music.

Yall showed up last night in every aspect. Keep that level of energy going!

Over the years, we have been asked if there is anything behind our logo or if it’s simply an aesthetic choice. The logo while balanced,
symmetrical, and generally viewed as aesthetically pleasing, is more than that. It is a combination of two Ayurvedic runes. The runes stem from an ancient form of Germanic alphabet, which was used by the Germanic and Nordic tribes of northern Europe, Scandinavia and Britain for writing, divination and magical purposes. Runic inscriptions have been found on stones, jewelry, weapons and objects dating back to the 3rd century AD, but it’s likely that they existed long before that. Our logo designer, Emily came up with the idea and it fit perfectly with not only the spiritual nature of what we write about, but our own ethnic heritage in many cases. It is equal parts respect, homage, mystical, and rhythmic. The cyclic nature of life and death, destruction and regeneration, the heavens and the depths. It shows sound and silence, violence and calm, and the ancient and mysterious balance of our universe. If we scorched the whole planet, we would still be powerless to stop the immediate regeneration as the first flowers would grow through the ash and bloom. Thats an amazing thing. 🖤
