Last night was something truly beyond words.
Under the full moon, we gathered for a Rebirthing Breathwork session — and it just so happened to be the yahrzeit of Reb Shlomo Carlebach zt”l.
I had the privilege of facilitating this experience together with Zev Icyk, and it was one of the most humbling nights I’ve ever been part of. To guide 25 men into a space of vulnerability, openness, and deep connection — to themselves, to their higher selves, and to Hashem — was something sacred.
To be immersed in Reb Shlomo’s music, to breathe through his timeless melodies that have inspired Jewish souls for generations, felt like the perfect merging of neshima and niggun — breath and song, body and soul.
The energy in the room was pure — hearts opening, tears flowing, light returning. Every inhale drew in Divine vitality. Every exhale let go of what no longer served. Between the breaths, we could feel Hashem’s presence — quiet, alive, infinite.
Reb Shlomo used to say, “The deepest thing in the world is to be real.”
And that’s exactly what happened — 25 men being real, being honest, being alive.
This is Jewish breathwork — where the breath becomes a prayer, and music becomes a gateway to God.
It was a one-of-a-kind experience that must be done again and again.
